Day 01: Yangon Arrival
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, our gracious local guide will warmly welcome you with a signboard and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Begin your journey with a visit to the National Museum (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), where you can marvel at the 8m-high Sihasana Palin (Lion Throne) of King Thibaw Min, the last Burmese monarch, among other fascinating exhibits.Drive through the vibrant Chinatown and the Indian quarter, where Colonial-style buildings stand in harmonious contrast with the elegant Sule Pagoda, gracefully positioned at the heart of Yangon, and the stately City Hall. Continue your exploration at Bogyoke (Scott) Market (closed every Monday and public holidays), renowned for its extensive collection of Burmese handicrafts.
As the day draws to a close, experience the enchanting sunset at the Shwedagon Pagoda, the spiritual heart of Buddhist Myanmar, believed to be over 2,500 years old. Witness the devotion of countless worshippers making offerings, especially on Full Moon Days and other religious occasions.Conclude your day with a transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay. Lunch and dinner will be enjoyed at a charming local restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Burmese cuisine.
Day 02: Yangon – Ka Lay Myo
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Yangon Domestic Airport for your flight to Kalay Myo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-in. Spend the day exploring the local market and immersing yourself in the traditional lifestyle of the local people. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel in Kalay Myo.
Day 03: Ka lay Myo – Rih Lake
After breakfast, set off on a drive to Rih Lake, a renowned natural lake in Chin State known for its unique heart-shaped formation and surrounding mountain ranges. This iconic landmark’s water turns red for about two months starting in the second week of December, and the lake remains full throughout the year.Spend the day visiting Rih Lake, taking in the stunning scenery of the Chin region, and admiring the picturesque heart-shaped lake and beautiful mountain ranges. Conclude the day with dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay near Rih Lake.
Day 04: Rih Lake – Falam
After enjoying breakfast, embark on a journey to Falam, a serene and picturesque hill town in Chin State. Originally founded by the British in 1892, Falam served as a key administrative center for the British government in the Chin Hills region.Upon arrival in Falam, immerse yourself in the local culture by exploring Falam Township. Learn about the traditional ways of life, customs, and rich cultural heritage of the Chin people, who call this hill town their home.In the evening, delight in a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, savoring authentic Chin cuisine. Retreat for the night at a comfortable guest house in Falam Township, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Chin Hills.
Day 05: Falam – Hakha
After a delightful breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Hakha, the capital city of Chin State. The journey offers breathtaking views as you wind through mountainous valleys, soaking in the natural beauty of the region.Upon arrival in Hakha, check-in at your guest house and begin your exploration with a visit to a small local market bustling with activity. Dive into the rich cultural heritage of the Chin ethnic people by visiting the museum and traditional weaving houses, where you can observe their customs and traditions passed down through generations in the Chin Hills.In the evening, venture to Mt. Runtlang for a mesmerizing view of the natural beauty of the Chin Hills, set against a backdrop of majestic mountain ranges. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant, savoring the flavors of Chin cuisine. Retreat for the night at the guest house in Hakha, reflecting on the awe-inspiring experiences of the day.
Day 06: Hakha – Ka lay Myo
After breakfast, return to Kalay Myo by car and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Yangon.
