Day 01: Arrival Yangon
Upon your arrival at Yangon International Airport, our friendly local guide will be waiting for you with a welcome sign. They’ll escort you to your hotel for check-in.Our first stop will be the National Museum, where you’ll marvel at the 8-meter-high Lion Throne of King Thibaw Min and other fascinating exhibits.Next, we’ll drive through Chinatown and the Indian quarter, admiring the blend of colonial-style buildings with the iconic Sule Pagoda and City Hall.Then, we’ll explore Bogyoke Market to discover a diverse collection of Burmese handicrafts. As the day winds down, we’ll witness the mesmerizing sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the spiritual center of Buddhist Myanmar, believed to be 2,500 years old. It’s a sight to behold, especially on Full Moon Days and religious occasions, as devotees gather to pray and make offerings. Afterward, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants.
Day 02: Yangon – Heho – Inle
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel, and then your local guide will escort you to catch a morning flight to Heho. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to NyaungShwe, where you’ll hop on a local boat to reach your hotel in the picturesque surroundings of Inle Lake. Once you’ve checked in and enjoyed a satisfying lunch, embark on an enchanting boat trip across Inle Lake. Marvel at the unique “Leg Rowers” – the Intha people row with one leg wrapped around an oar – as you cruise past floating tomato gardens and observe traditional handicrafts like silverwork, silk weaving, and lotus tissue fabrication. Don’t miss the chance to witness cheroot making and Shan paper-making. Your journey continues with visits to ShweIndein Pagoda, Ah Lo Taw Pauk Pagoda, and the revered PhaungDawOo Pagoda, home to five sacred images, four of which are ceremoniously ferried around the lake during the PhaungDawOo festival. Wrap up your day with a visit to NgaPheKyaung, fondly known as the Jumping Cat Monastery, housing ancient Buddha images dating back over 200 years. Finally, enjoy a delicious dinner and unwind at your hotel accommodation on the serene shores of Inle Lake.
Day 03: : Inle – TaungGyi – Mway Taw Kaku
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel and then check out as you head towards Taunggyi, the capital city of Shan State. Along the way, make a refreshing stop at Ayethayar Wine Garden, where you can savor some fresh wine at your leisure. Upon arrival in Taunggyi, if time permits, take a stroll through the vibrant local market to soak in the bustling atmosphere. Then, continue your journey to Kakku Pagodas, a remarkable site boasting over 7,000 pagodas, making it one of the Shan State’s most popular attractions. It’s located just 25 kilometers away from Taunggyi. After exploring Kakku Pagodas, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before visiting the Sulamuni Pagoda in Taunggyi. Next, make your way to Mya-Sein-Taung Paya/Shwe Phone Pwint Paya, situated atop a mountain, offering stunning panoramic views of Taunggyi City. Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant before retiring to your hotel in Taunggyi for a restful overnight stay.
Day 04: TaungGyi – Pindaya – Kalaw
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a journey to Pindaya. Explore the fascinating Pindaya Mystery Caves and the serene Shwe U Min Pagoda. Don’t miss the chance to visit the renowned Pone Ta Loke Lake and witness the traditional Shan Paper making and umbrella workshops in action at local family houses. Continue your exploration with a visit to Konlon Monastery before driving to Kalaw, a former British Hill station steeped in colonial history. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. In Kalaw, visit the historic Hnee Pagoda, home to a 500-year-old Bamboo Buddha, and explore the mystical Shwe U Min Pagoda, a natural limestone cave adorned with golden Buddha statues. Then, make your way to Thein Taung Pagoda for breathtaking scenic views of Kalaw. Day 05: Kalaw – Heho – YGN & Departure
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be whisked away to Heho airport for your morning flight back to Yangon. Upon arrival, your exploration continues with a visit to the serene Kaba Aye Pagoda, also known as the World Peace Pagoda. Nearby, you’ll discover the Maha Pasana Guha, a great cave built alongside the pagoda, symbolizing the Sixth Great Synod. Next up is a visit to the Gems Museum, located close to Kaba Aye Pagoda. Here, you can browse through 82 stores spread across three floors, offering an exquisite collection of raw and finished gem products, including rubies, sapphires, pearls, and jade. Savor a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to the majestic Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to a remarkable 65-meter-long Reclining Buddha image. As your journey draws to a close, you’ll be transferred to Yangon International Airport for your departure, concluding your unforgettable Myanmar adventure.
