Day 01: Arrival Yangon

Upon your arrival at Yangon International Airport, our friendly local guide will be waiting for you with a welcome sign. They’ll escort you to your hotel for check-in.Our first stop will be the National Museum, where you’ll marvel at the 8-meter-high Lion Throne of King Thibaw Min and other fascinating exhibits.Next, we’ll drive through Chinatown and the Indian quarter, admiring the blend of colonial-style buildings with the iconic Sule Pagoda and City Hall.Then, we’ll explore Bogyoke Market to discover a diverse collection of Burmese handicrafts.
As the day winds down, we’ll witness the mesmerizing sunset at Shwedagon Pagoda, the spiritual center of Buddhist Myanmar, believed to be 2,500 years old. It’s a sight to behold, especially on Full Moon Days and religious occasions, as devotees gather to pray and make offerings. Afterward, we’ll transfer you back to your hotel for a comfortable overnight stay. Lunch and dinner will be served at local restaurants.

 

Day 02: Yangon – Bago – Golden Rock

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before hopping on an air-conditioned bus headed for Bago, an ancient capital of the 16th century Mon Kingdom. Enjoy a scenic two-hour drive. Explore the highlights of Bago, including the impressive Shwe Maw Daw Pagoda, towering higher than even the renowned Shwedagon Pagoda in Yangon. Don’t miss the bustling Bago Market for a taste of local life.Next, journey to the famous Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda, also known as Golden Rock Pagoda. After a 3.5-hour drive, stop for lunch at a local restaurant near Kin Pun ‘base camp’. Then, embark on a thrilling 45-minute ride in an open truck or bus up the mountain. Along the way, soak in the stunning views and engage with the friendly locals. Marvel at the incredible sight of the Golden Rock, where a sacred hair relic of Buddha is enshrined on a precarious tabular rock.
Witness the breathtaking sunset from the summit of Mt. Kyaikhtiyo before heading to a local restaurant for dinner. Finally, retire to your hotel for a restful overnight stay.

 

Day 03: Golden Rock – Bago – Yangon

Start your day with a hearty breakfast at the hotel and witness the mesmerizing sunrise from the Golden Rock atop the mountain. After soaking in the breathtaking views, journey back to Bago.Indulge in a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in Bago before continuing your exploration. Marvel at the impressive 55-meter-long reclining Shwe-tha-lyaung Buddha, one of Myanmar’s most remarkable Buddha images. Then, visit the iconic Kyaik Pun Pagoda, also known as Lay Myat Hnar Paya, famed for its four giant Buddha images.
Next, immerse yourself in the rich culture of the region with a visit to a Mon weaving and handicraft village, where you can witness the production of exquisite woven bamboo wares.
Finally, return to Yangon, concluding your day of exploration and cultural discovery.
