Day 01: Arrival Yangon
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, our gracious local guide will warmly welcome you with a signboard and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Begin your journey with a visit to the National Museum (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), where you can marvel at the 8m-high Sihasana Palin (Lion Throne) of King Thibaw Min, the last Burmese monarch, among other fascinating exhibits.Drive through the vibrant Chinatown and the Indian quarter, where Colonial-style buildings stand in harmonious contrast with the elegant Sule Pagoda, gracefully positioned at the heart of Yangon, and the stately City Hall. Continue your exploration at Bogyoke (Scott) Market (closed every Monday and public holidays), renowned for its extensive collection of Burmese handicrafts.As the day draws to a close, experience the enchanting sunset at the Shwedagon Pagoda, the spiritual heart of Buddhist Myanmar, believed to be over 2,500 years old. Witness the devotion of countless worshippers making offerings, especially on Full Moon Days and other religious occasions.Conclude your day with a transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay. Lunch and dinner will be enjoyed at a charming local restaurant, offering a taste of authentic Burmese cuisine.
Day 02: Yangon – Bagan
After a delightful breakfast at the hotel, our local guide will meet you and transfer you to Yangon Domestic Airport for your flight to Bagan (Nyaung U Airport). Upon arrival, begin your exploration with a visit to the bustling Nyaung U Market, followed by the magnificent Shwezigone Pagoda, a masterpiece built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century.Next, experience the artistry at a local lacquerware workshop, showcasing one of Myanmar’s most renowned handicrafts. Following this, check in at your hotel. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, embark on a tour of the splendid Ananda Pagoda, featuring four standing Buddhas and built by King Kyanzittha in the 11th century.Continue to the MaNuha Temple, constructed in the Mon style in 1059, and visit the elegant Nan Paya Temple. Discover the Myazedi Stupa, home to Myanmar’s Rosetta Stone, inscribed in four languages. Proceed to the Myinkaba area to visit Gubyaukgyi Temple, built in 1113 by Rajakumar in memory of his father, Kyansittha. As the day draws to a close, savor a breathtaking sunset at the iconic ShweSandaw Pagoda.Conclude your day with a delectable dinner at a local restaurant before retiring for the night at your hotel.
Day 03: Bagan – Mindat
After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on an adventure by taking a local ferry boat to KyunChaung. From there, drive to KyaukHtu in Chin State, navigating through bumpy roads for approximately 6-7 hours in a 4×4 Jeep. Along the journey, you’ll witness the unique habitation and lifestyle of Chin villages. The road ascends steeply up the Chin Hills, eventually arriving at Mindat, home to the Chin people at the base of Mt. Victoria. Upon arrival, proceed to Mindat Town to visit the nearby Chin villages, gaining insight into their rich culture and traditions.Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at a local restaurant, and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at the guest house in Mindat.
Day 04: Mindat
After breakfast, immerse yourself in the vibrant local market of Mindat, where you can observe the daily life and activities of the Chin people. Following this, embark on a trek to the nearby small Chin villages, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to witness the traditional way of living and the rich cultures of the Chin Hill Tribes.During your trek, you may encounter the famous Chin women with tattooed faces, a remarkable and fading tradition that tells a story of the region’s heritage. After a day filled with cultural exploration, return to Mindat and enjoy a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.Spend the night at the guest house in Mindat, reflecting on the incredible experiences and cultural insights gained throughout the day.
Day 05: Mindat – Kanpelet
After breakfast, set off for Kanpelet, driving through the picturesque towns of Kangyi and Saw (approximately 4 hours – 65 km). Along the journey, take in the stunning scenic views of Chin State, with several photo stops to capture the natural beauty of the landscape. Upon arrival in Kanpelet, transfer to your guest house and settle in for the night, surrounded by the serene beauty of the region.
Day 06: Kanpelet – Mt.Victoria – Kanpelet
After breakfast, embark on a hike to Mt. Victoria (10,200 ft/3100m above sea level), the third highest mountain in Myanmar, and a part of the Himalayan Mountain Range located in the western part of the country, covering 722 km². Begin your adventure with a visit to Natmataung National Park, home to a diverse array of rare and beautiful flora and fauna.Due to road conditions, the car will take you to the second base of the mountain near the peak. From there, you’ll hike approximately 8 km (around 2 ½ hours) to reach the summit. At the top, enjoy the breathtaking views of the Chin Hills region from Mt. Victoria.After soaking in the spectacular scenery, return to Kanpelet and spend the night at a guest house.
Day 07: Kanpelet – Bagan
After breakfast, begin your journey back to Bagan, which will take approximately 7 hours. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to stop at various villages to observe and enjoy the traditional lifestyles and customs of the local people. Arrive in Bagan in the evening and transfer to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the evening is free for leisure activities. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel, reflecting on the day’s journey.
Day 08: Bagan – Yangon
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Nyaung U (Bagan) Airport for your morning flight to Yangon. Upon arrival in Yangon, enjoy some free time to explore the city or relax at your leisure. Later, you will be transferred to Yangon International Airport for your departure flight back to your home country.
