Day 01: Yangon – Lashio

Depart from Yangon airport in the morning for Lashio, the capital of Northern Shan State. Upon arrival, transfer to your selected hotel for check-in. Begin your sightseeing tour by visiting the famous Hot Spring, where you can relax and enjoy its reputed healing properties for pains and aches. Next, visit the Quan Yin San Chinese Temple and the Pyi Lone Chantha Pagoda. In the evening, explore the vibrant Night Market and take a stroll around downtown Lashio. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before retiring for the night at your hotel in Lashio.

 

Day 02: Lashio – Muse

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Muse, which is located 112 miles (180 km) north of Lashio. Muse serves as the main border gateway between Myanmar and Yunnan Province, China. Situated on the banks of the Shweli River, it marks the border between Myanmar’s Shan State and China’s Yunnan Province.Enjoy sightseeing around Muse, including visits to Muse Market and other local attractions. Overnight at your selected hotel in Muse.

 

Day 03: Muse – Hsipaw

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and then embark on a drive to Hsipaw. Along the way, make a stop at the small town of Kutkai. Kutkai is known for its cool weather year-round, refreshing atmosphere, and beautiful mountain scenery. Take in the picturesque surroundings of Kutkai Township before continuing your journey.Drive through Lashio and proceed towards Hsipaw. Upon arrival in Hsipaw, check-in to your hotel and settle in for the night. Overnight at the hotel in Hsipaw.

 

Day 04: Hsipaw – PyinOoLwin

In the early morning, take a stroll around the Hsipaw local market to experience the vibrant atmosphere. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and begin your sightseeing tour of Hsipaw. Visit Hsipaw Haw, the Old Shan Palace known for its ancient architectural design. Explore the ancient pagoda complex where you can find the Bamboo Buddha image dating back over 100 years.Have lunch at a local restaurant in Hsipaw, then continue your journey towards Pyin Oo Lwin. Along the way, make a stop at Kyaut Me before arriving in Pyin Oo Lwin.

 

Day 05: PyinOoLwin – Mandalay

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and begin your sightseeing tour around Pyin Oo Lwin, formerly known as Maymyo, a charming hill town in Mandalay Division. Pyin Oo Lwin is renowned as Myanmar’s Highland City of Flowers, rich in history with well-preserved colonial architecture from the British era.Visit the Maha Ant Htoo Kan Thar Pagoda, a significant religious site in the area. Then, explore the National Kandawgyi Botanical Garden, which boasts a diverse collection of flora including foreign species, orchids in various gardens, dahlia and rose gardens, exotic fruits, and shaded trees.Next, visit the Pwe Kauk Waterfall (B.E. Falls) and Peik Chin Myaung Waterfall and Caves, known for their natural beauty and serene surroundings.In the evening, return to Mandalay and overnight at a hotel in Mandalay.

 

Day 06: Mandalay City Tour

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Amarapura, a former royal capital established in 1782. Visit the iconic U Bein Bridge, stretching across Taungthaman Lake. This 1.2 km bridge, constructed around 1850, is famed as the oldest and longest teakwood bridge in the world.Continue to Mahagandayon Monastery, the largest Buddhist learning center in Mandalay, where you can observe the daily life of monks. Visit silk weaving workshops to witness traditional craftsmanship. Then, proceed to Mahamuni Pagoda, originally from Mrauk-U and built in 1784 by King Bodawpaya, housing the revered Mahamuni Buddha image.Explore marble carving and gold leaf beating workshops before checking in to your hotel. Later, visit Shwenandaw Monastery, also known as the Golden Palace Monastery, renowned for its intricate teak carvings depicting Buddhist stories.Continue your tour with a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, home to the World’s Largest Book, inscribed during King Mindon’s reign. Finally, visit Kyaukdawgyi Pagoda, built by the same king, housing a monumental marble Buddha image.Enjoy a stunning sunset view from Mandalay Hill before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

 

Day 07: Mandalay – Yangon

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and then transfer to the airport for your flight back to Yangon.
